EMDR Professional Training awards the Impact Scholarship to mental health professionals who are passionate about using EMDR therapy to impact diverse, underrepresented, or disadvantaged communities.
This scholarship award aligns with our goal to empower mental health professionals from diverse backgrounds, fostering a network of practitioners who honor the richness and diversity of the communities and populations they serve. Through this scholarship program, we aspire to break down financial barriers to EMDR therapy training, facilitate therapists’ skill development, and, ultimately, enhance the quality of mental health care and its accessibility to individuals from all walks of life.
The scholarship award ranges from full tuition to half-tuition as well as specific amounts awarded toward the cost of Premier Basic Training. The scholarship does not cover required texts.
The scholarship application is open to licensed and license-eligible psychotherapists who face challenges and diverse forms of adversity as well as those who work with underrepresented or disadvantaged populations (e.g. age, ancestry, skin color, race, disability, ethnicity, gender, gender identity or expression, genetic information, HIV/AIDS status, national origin, pregnancy, religion, sex, sexual orientation, veteran status, citizenship status, financial status or any other systemic barrier).
