Recent trauma is now unlocked with EMDR Therapy. Recent Traumatic Episode Protocol (R-TEP) and Group Traumatic Episode Protocol (G-TEP) are both part of a comprehensive approach to Early EMDR Intervention (EEI).
R-TEP/G-TEP, presented by Josie Juhasz, MA, LPC, is a beginning to intermediate workshop for clinicians who have completed EMDR Basic Training. This live virtual training presented by EMDR Professional Training„¢ is scheduled for August 29th and 30th, 2020.
The R-TEP/G-TEP workshop incorporates and extends existing protocols within a new conceptual framework, together with additional measures for containment and safety. While predicting sub-clinical sticking points can obstruct Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) and do not necessarily show up on the DSM radar, the Recent Traumatic Episode Protocol may reduce sensitization and accumulation of trauma memories.
In this two-day virtual workshop, Josie Juhasz teaches participants how to apply EMDR for early intervention in emergent trauma situations, providing the practitioner with detailed information regarding the Recent Traumatic Episode Protocol and the Group Traumatic Episode Protocol. Participants learn to identify and apply key features, procedures, and concepts of both R-TEP and G-TEP, as well as demonstrate their use through extensive practicum within the workshop setting. Significance of Early EMDR Intervention methods are also evaluated by the end of the seminar.
Josie Juhasz, MA, LPC, has been a psychotherapist for over 30 years, practicing in Vermont, Washington D.C., and currently Bend, Oregon. She is EMDR certified, an EMDRIA Approved Consultant, and an EMDR Institute and Trauma Recovery/Humanitarian Assistance Program (TR/HAP) facilitator for EMDR Basic Training.
R-TEP/G-TEP takes place August 29th and 30th, 2020, as a live virtual training using the HIPAA compliant Zoom platform. This advanced course is EMDRIA approved for 14 credits.
